A workshop of cultural and creative industries was held in Prijedor

Within the project “Development of the cross-border network of creative industry – CREATIVE@CBC”, the Agency for Economic Development of the City of Prijedor “PREDA-PD” organized a four-hour workshop with representatives of cultural and creative industries in Prijedor, February 25, 2021. years.

The workshop was held in the premises of the PREDA-PD Agency, with a limited number of participants and compliance with all recommended epidemiological measures.

The organization of the interactive workshop was designed as one of the key steps in the process of analysis of cultural and creative industries of the city of Prijedor, which were the subject of research in the past period.

The exceptional potential for growth, development and employment in this sector has been recognized, and it is considered that the mentioned analysis will greatly help define the next project activities and policies to support the creative industry in the coming period, both locally and cross-border.

The workshop was divided into two parts. During the first part, the results of the study “Analysis of cultural and creative industries of the city of Prijedor” were presented and validated, within which the analysis of economic performance of cultural and creative industries of the city was performed. In addition, the first part of the workshop was dedicated to the preparation of a SWOT analysis of the cultural and creative industries of the city of Prijedor, using the method of brainstorming and open discussions of participants.

During the second part of the workshop, the focus was on defining opportunities for the development of cultural and creative industries in Prijedor, as well as defining “bottlenecks” for the development of these industries and how to overcome them. Working in groups has greatly helped to define the required elements.

Along with the analysis of cultural and creative industries in the city of Prijedor, within the project “CREATIVE@CBC”, analyzes of cultural and creative industries were conducted in the cross-border area, ie in the partner cities, Sisak and Podgorica.

Upon completion of this activity, the project is planned to provide all interested creatives with training in the field of design, multimedia, digital marketing, as well as training in the field of gaming in all partner cities.
